VOCs waste gas treatment

What is VOC exhaust gas?

VOC is an abbreviation for volatile organic compounds. VOCs in the general sense are volatile organic compounds; but the definition in the environmental sense refers to a class of volatile organic compounds that are active, that is, the kind of volatile organic compounds that can cause harm.

VOC waste gas treatment

Characteristics of VOCs

The difficulty of organic waste gas treatment is mainly because of its wide variety and wide range of sources, and high one-time investment and operating costs, basically no recycling value. Organic waste gas with complex composition is more difficult to purify, separate and recover. Volatile organic compounds (VOCs), as the main branch of organic compounds, refer to organic compounds whose saturated vapor pressure is greater than 70Pa at normal temperature and whose boiling point is within 260°C at normal pressure. From the perspective of environmental monitoring, it refers to the general term for non-hydrocarbon detected by the hydrogen flame ion detector, including hydrocarbons, oxygen hydrocarbons, halogenated hydrocarbons, nitrogen hydrocarbons and sulfur hydrocarbons.

Activated carbon adsorbs VOC waste gas:

The organic waste gas is directly adsorbed by activated carbon, and the purification rate can reach more than 95%. The advantage is that the equipment is simple and the investment is small; but the activated carbon is replaced frequently, which increases the work procedures such as loading and unloading, transportation, and replacement, which will increase the operating cost and is not suitable for environments with high humidity. However, in terms of market applications, activated carbon adsorption is the most commonly used technology.

Solution advantage:

1. Low operating cost and reasonable cost performance.

2. Almost all organic waste gas containing organic matter, large air volume and low concentration can be treated.

3. High purification efficiency, up to 94%.

4. The maintenance workload is small, and the operation is safe and reliable.

5. Safe and reliable operation and high stability.

6. Simple operation and high degree of automation.

7. Automatic acid-base dosing system.
