PPS ducting introduction:

PPS ducting: The raw material of PPS air duct is PPS sheet, with high heat resistance (continuous use temperature up to 240°C), mechanical strength, rigidity, flame retardancy, chemical resistance

It is a resin with excellent chemical properties, electrical properties, and stability of the ruler, and is wear-resistant. Excellent creep resistance and excellent flame retardancy. Self-extinguishing, up to UL94V-0 level. high temperature

What is PPs duct?

PPs duct is also known as PP flame retardant duct, polypropylene flame retardant duct. PP flame retardant air duct is an improved version of PP air duct, and flame retardants are added to the raw materials. Different from ordinary PP air ducts, PPs air ducts have the characteristics of high temperature resistance and non-flammability, which can prevent the spread of flames as much as possible in the event of a fire. PPs air duct is the best plastic ventilation duct on the market at present, but due to the high production cost and complicated process, the price of flame retardant air duct is relatively high.


There are two ways to produce PPs ducts:

Injection molding

It is extruded by a large injection molding machine, and an equal proportion of flame retardants and toners are added to the raw material polypropylene masterbatch, and the integrated air duct is extruded through the injection molding machine at high temperature and high pressure. Xicheng EP LTD can produce ducts with diameters of 63MM, 75MM, 90MM, 110MM, 160MM, 200MM, 250MM, 315mm, 400MM, 450MM, 500MM.

PP flame retardant board processing and welding

PPs ducts with a diameter of more than 500MM require custom processing. The material used for processing is PP flame retardant board, which is bent and welded by a hot-melt butt welding machine, and the PPs pipe body is welded with PP flanges. This method can produce all sizes above 500MM and below 3000MM.

PPs ductwork performance characteristics

No rust: PPs air duct can withstand the corrosion of PH value in a wide temperature range and high concentration of acid and alkali ranging from 1 to 14.

Wear resistance and no scaling: The inner wall of PPs air ducts and fittings is uniform and smooth, with low flow resistance and no scaling.
Reduce vibration and noise: PP air duct has excellent sound insulation performance, which can significantly reduce vibration and noise caused by liquid flow.
Anti-freeze cracking:
The material used in PPs air duct has excellent elasticity, so that the section of the pipe and pipe fittings can expand together with the frost heaving liquid without bursting.
Anti-condensation and less heat loss:
The material used in the PPs air duct is a poor thermal conductor, which can reduce condensation and reduce heat loss.
Simple installation:
PPs air duct is light in weight, easy to install and operate, and has weldability.
Long service life:
PPs air duct has a service life of 50 years under the specified temperature, pressure, medium and other operating conditions.
Excellent corrosion resistance
: resistant to corrosion by most chemicals, and can withstand high concentrations of acids and alkalis with a pH range of 1-14 in a wide range.
Good hygienic performance:
There are only carbon and hydrogen elements in the molecular structure of PPs duct material, which is non-toxic and tasteless, and has reliable hygienic performance.
Heat-resisting heat preservation and energy saving:
The maximum operating temperature of PPs air duct is about 70 degrees, and the thermal conductivity of this product is only 1200 of that of steel pipe, so it has better heat preservation performance.
High temperature resistant, non-flammable.
PPs duct burning does not emit harmful gases.
